As we turn the wheel into the new year, we send a heartfelt thank-you for helping us keep and celebrate the memory of Mike Corlett this past holiday.
Thank you so much to those of you who came all the way out to see us; thank you so much to those of you sending love down the phone-lines and to our mailbox.
Thank you to our helpers, our caterers, our venue; thank you to our friends and our family and everyone who knew Mike, even briefly.
Thank you for the time you spent with us, and for the time you spent with him.
Your hearts are the candles lighting our winter nights.
About a week before his passing and with his celebration in mind, we spent time with Dad putting together a playlist of his favorite music. We’ve added a little to it since then - songs that we heard together, shared together; that tie our memories to him. From Tchaikovsky to Bonnie Tyler to very specific flash mob covers, it spans an incredible breadth of music talent, to celebrate the life of an incredible man, with incredible taste.
